24-year old Montreal musical misfit Yves Jarvis has returned with a new single ‘Projection’, following his 2-part single For Props. Rooted in a shuffling drum beat and walking bass line, the song centres around a strange rhythm. The guitar is rooted in mystical folklore picking, whilst Jarvis’ vocals pile up thick and swirl around your head in a psychedelic manner. A music video accompanies the song, self-directed and shot on an iPhone. In Jarvis’ words, the song is a “rickety rejection of dogma, tumbling tenaciously toward the tip”.
